Mindful Monday: Loving-kindness & joy in only two short breaths…
Do you want to try something simple that will brighten your day and someone else's?
Take a moment and imagine the next person you expect to see today.
Can you picture him or her?
Now try this:
Take two full breaths, and as you do, wish for this person to be happy.
Say silently, “May you be happy.”
Go ahead. Try it now. (The newsletter will be here when you get back.)
Then say silently, “May you be healthy”. “May you be peaceful”
How did that feel? Did you feel uplifted?
I hope it brought a moment of joy.
A mindfulness practice includes loving-kindness. As we send good wishes to others it creates more peace and well-being within ourselves.
It is a moment to moment choice to be aware. And it can be that simple.
