Mindful Monday: A Season of New Beginnings
This time of year, there is an aliveness in the air that brings the feeling of fresh and unlimited possibilities.
Trees have filled out, flowers bloom, and the sun beckons us outdoors to soak it all in. It is fresh, expansive, and alive with possibility.
This Friday, June 20, we welcome the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year.
It's more than a seasonal marker. It’s a sacred moment, a spiritual celebration of light, abundance, and new beginnings.
As we witness the growth and blooming around us, we are reminded to go inward and tend to the seeds within. To listen closely to what our soul longs for.
The solstice invites us to reflect.
To nurture ourselves.
To shed old patterns.
And be open to new growth.
When we pause to reflect and ask ourselves honest questions, we begin to see more clearly: We don’t have to have all the answers. Just give ourselves the space to be curious.
What is most meaningful to me right now?
What am I ready to embrace?
What am I ready to release?
What does caring for myself look like?
When we journal, reflect, or simply sit with these questions, insights often arise spontaneously.
We shift from living on autopilot to living in alignment with our truth, our values, and our soul’s desires.
It is simple and transformative.
Right now, I find myself in a period of transition. Something new is emerging for me, and though I don’t yet know all the details, I feel open. I feel ready. I am trusting, listening, and taking it one step at a time.
Do you feel something stirring within you, too?
Just like the plants that rise from the soil, our light and truth rise from within when we give them our attention. When we live more mindfully, we reconnect with the essence of who we are and what we came here to experience.
I’m grateful to connect with you in this way each week. Thank you for reading and reflecting with me. It means more than you know.
Before I go, I want to share something close to my heart.
In my mom’s front yard, there is an angel garden. It began nine years ago, after my dad passed away. Over time, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends brought angel figurines as gifts. One by one, they were placed in the garden. Today, when you stand in that space, you can feel it—a quiet, loving presence. It is really beautiful.
It reminds me that healing and growth are not always loud. Sometimes, they’re quiet and sacred. They live in the spaces we create with love, intention, and presence.
This solstice, may you create a space—within or around you—that honours where you are and invites what is ready to grow.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to celebrate the Summer Solstice, you might be interested in the Summer Solstice Celebration at Sparta Lavender Farm. I’ll be going, and it feels like the perfect evening to be nourished and nurtured, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
With love,
