Mindful Mondays: Eat lunch at your desk? Truth: It's not productive.
I have a question for you...
Do you eat lunch at your desk? And while you're eating are you working away?
I teach mindfulness in the workplace and, when asked, most people say 'yes' they do eat lunch at their desk because they don't have enough time to take a break.
Wow! This belief that 'we don't have enough time' is really taking over.
And meanwhile, studies show time and time again (and it's not rocket science) that people who don't take breaks are more distracted, less productive and are not as healthy.
They spend lots of time talking about how much work they have to do or how stressed out they are, but they aren't actually working...which gets them more behind and more stressed!

So how about taking a REAL lunch break this week? Enjoy your food and time to yourself.
Your body and mind will thank you - AND you will be more focused and productive.
